Many people ask me how I began my career in photography. I was born with a camera in my hand, not literally, but almost. My father is a serious amateur, as was my grandfather. My great grandfather was a professional photographer and an artist.
Photography as a form of art is a way of seeing and creating. Last spring my talents and efforts were acknowledged by Southeastern Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association when I was recognized as "Photographer of the Year."
In-Focus Photography was established as a home based business in 1991. As In-Focus began to grow and flourish more space was needed. Five years ago, In-Focus moved to our current location on Kinnickinnic Ave. in St. Francis.
The most rewarding part of photography is touching someone's heart so much that it stirs their emotions. I am overjoyed when clients view their images with tears in their eyes because I know their hearts have been moved! I walk away knowing, "that's what life is all about." Creating beautiful images is one thing, but there is nothing like touching the hearts of people! – Mary
